Prawns Curry

Ingredients:

Prawns 2 cups
Drumstick 2
Onion 1
Oil 2 tsp
Salt

 

Masala:

Coconut 1/2
Onion 1
Red chilly 4
Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
Pepper 4-5
Coriander seeds 1 tsp
Methi seeds 4-5
Raw rice 1 tsp
Tirphal (optional) 5-6
Tamarind pulp 1 tsp

 

How to make Prawns Curry:

Clean the prawns and apply salt and turmeric powder and keep aside for one hour.

Chop onion and cut drumsticks into pieces.

Grind all masala ingredients in mixture and make fine paste.

After 1 hour wash prawns.

In a pan heat oil and fry chopped onion till brown.

Then add prawns and again fry for 2-3 min.

Now add drumstick pieces and fry for a min.

Add glass of water amd allow to cook.

Lastly add grind paste and salt.

Allow to boil for 2-3 min on low flame.

Prawns curry is ready serve with rice.

Satyanarayana Prasad

Ingredients:

Rava 2 cups
Sugar 2 cups
Ghee 2 cups
Milk 2 cups
Water 2 cups
Banana 1/2
Kaju 5-6
Kismis 8-10
Almond 4
Elaichi powder 2 tsp

 

How to make Satyanarayana Prasad:

Clean rava and fry in hot ghee till light brown on slow flame.

In another pan mix milk and water and keep to boil.

Pour the milk mixture on fried rava.

Make pieces of kaju and almond.

Chop the banana into small pieces.

When rava cook add sugar and cover the pan.

Add kismis, kaju,almond and banana pieces.

Mix well and cover the pan for 2-3 min.

Lastly add elaichi powder.

Prasad is ready.

Pav bhaji

Ingredients:

Potato 4
Onion 2
Capsicum 1
Carrot 1
Green peas 1 cup
Cabbage 1 cup
Tomato 2
Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
Pav bhaji masala 1 tbsp
Kashmiri mirchi powder 1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
Lemon juice 1 tsp
Vinegar 2 tsp
Pav 6
Butter
Salt

 

How to make Pav bhaji:

Cook potato,capsicum,carrot,green peas and cabbage till well done.

Drain it and mash them finely.

Chop onions,tomatoes and coriander leaves finely.

In a pan heat butter and fry onion till transparent.

Now add ginger garlic paste.fry for one min.

Then add tomatoes,paav bhaji masala, mirchi powder,turmeric powder and salt.

Fry again for 2-3 min.

Add mashed vegetables and vinegar and bring to boil.

Add lemon juice. stir and mash pieces.

Remove from heat.

Apply butter on tava .now open buns and fry it both side.

Serve hot buns with garnished pav bhaji.

Add more butter on bhaji if you want.

Sponge Cake

Ingredients:

Maida 300 gm
Condensed milk 400 gm
Margarine 125 ml
Baking powder 2 tsp
Baking soda 1 tsp
Essence 1 tsp
Water 150 ml

 

How to make Sponge Cake:

Sieve the maida,baking powder and baking soda together.

Melt the butter and mix all ingredients.

Beat well.

Pour the mixture into a greased and dusted round vessel.

Heat the oven at 200 degrees C.

Bake the cake for 10 min.

Reduce the temperature at 150 degrees C and bake again for 10 min.

Cake is ready take out from the oven and allow to cool.

Sponge cake is ready.

Khajoor Chutney

Ingredients:

Khajoor (dates) 100 gm
Red chilly 4
Coriander seeds 1 tsp
Cumin seeds 1 tsp
Tamarind pulp 1 tbsp
Jaggery(grated) 2 tbsp
Salt

 

How to make Khajoor Chutney:

Remove the seeds of khajoor, wash it and make pieces.

Mix all ingredients except jaggery and grind fine paste in a mixture.add water if necessary.

Pour grind paste in a bowl add jaggery and mix well.

Add water and make consistency.

Khajoor chutney is ready.

Upma

Ingredients:

Rava 2 cups
Chana dal 1 tbsp
Urad dal 2 tsp
Red chillies 2-3
Onion 1
Mustard seeds 1/2 tsp
Kadipatta 4-5 leaves
Cashew nuts 4-5
Ghee 3 tbsp
Sugar 1 tsp
Salt

 

How to make Upma:

In a pan heat ghee and add mustard seeds,chana dal,urad dal,red chillies, curry leaves and onion.

Fry for 2-3 min. then add rava and fry it on a low flame till slightly golden.

Then add cashew nuts,sugar and salt.
Boil 4 cups water in another pan.

When water starts boiling,add it to the rava mixture,stir continuously.

After water dries,cover the pan for 2 min.
Upma is ready.while serving add butter if you desire.

Butter Dosa

Ingredients:

Rava 4 cups
Urad dal 1 cup
Curd 1 tbsp
Onion 2
Green chilly 4
Coriander leaves 1 tbsp
Butter
Salt

 

How to make Butter Dosa:

Soak urad dal for 3-4 hours and then grind to a fine paste.

Mix rava,curd,grind urad dal and salt. keep aside for 5-6 hours.

Chop coriander leaves,onion and green chilly finely.

Mix in above batter.add water if necessary.

Heat tava,spread butter.

Pour batter and spread clockwise immediately.

Cook on low flame.spread butter around the dosa.

After 2-3 min remove from the heat.

Enjoy with green chutney or sambar.

Veg kurma

Ingredients:

Green peas 1/4 kg
Cauliflower 1/4 kg
Potato 2-3
Carrot 2
Onion 4
Grated coconut 1/2
Red chilly powder 2 tsp
Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
Garam masala powder 1 tsp
Oil 2 tbsp
Coriander leaves 1 tbsp
Salt

 

How to make Veg K urma:

Make pieces of potato and carrot.

In a kadai heat 1 tbsp oil and fry 2 chopped onions till light brown then add grated coconut and fry it again till brown.

Grind in a mixture to make a fine paste.

In a pan heat 1 tbsp oil and fry 2 chopped onions till transparent.

Then add green peas,cauliflower,potato and carrot.

Fry for a min.

Add red chilly powder,turmeric powder and garam masala powder. stir well and add 1 glass of water.

Allow to cook for 5-8 min on low flame.

Now add salt and grind coconut paste.

Mix well.

Allow to boil.

Veg kurma is ready.

Garnish with coriander leaves.
