Rice 2 cups
Urad dal 1/2 cup
Chana dal 1/2 cup+ 1 tbsp
Methi 1/4 tsp
Fresh coconut 2 tbsp
Jaggery 200 gm
Cumin seeds 2 tsp
Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
Oil to fry  

How to make Yellappe:

Soak rice, urad dal, 1/2 cup chana dal, methi and cumin seeds for 4-5 hours.

Grind soaked items with little water.

Keep aside for 4-5 hours to ferment.

Soak 1 tbsp chana dal for 2 hours.

Mix all the ingredients.

Mix finely.

Heat the appe vessel and grease it.

Pour one tbsp batter in each mould.

Cover the vessel and cook till light brown on low flame..

Turn the side and cook another side till light brown.

Yellappe is ready.
